Summary of the Year

ECE 328 "Fields and Waves: Virtual Reality Laboratory" was originally approved as revision of an existing course involving computing experiences, also a supplement for ECE 329. However, sine the original ECE 328 had remained dormant for too long, the Provost office requested re-submission as a new permanent course proposal rather than a course revision.

ECE 426 "Advanced VLSI System Design"

ECE 466 "Optical Communications Lab"was discontinued as standalone course
The title of ECE 465 was changed from "Optical Communications Systems" to "Fiber Optics Communications" and credits hours were increase from 3 to 4, with incorporation of the laboratory material formerly contained in ECE 466.
Prerequisites for ECE 422/CS 461 "Computer Security I" where revised. Old prerequisites were CS 341 or ECE 391. The new prerequisites are CS 341 or ECE 391 or both CS 233 and CS 340.
