JP Morgan Chase WCS Scholarship (Spring 2019)

JP Morgan Chase, a leading global financial services firm, is generously providing two $2,500 scholarships for spring 2019.

Criteria - Applicants should meet all of the following:

Female Computer Science majors;
WCS members;
Sophomores or juniors in Spring 2019;
3.0 or higher GPA.

Submission Details (by 3/15/19)

Required Materials:

CV. Your current CV/resume.
Essay, 1 to 1.5 single-spaced pages, responding to one of the following three topics:
1. When designing technical solutions, describe the tradeoffs needed to be made between usability, security, and cost.
2. Describe the key challenges facing the financial industry right now and how technology can help to transform financial institutions to overcome these challenges.
3. Why is it important to close the gender gap in technology-related fields? What can be done at both the academic corporate levels to close this gap?
WCS Participation. In 1-2 paragraphs, please briefly describe your participation in WCS.
