• Called to order at 2:05pm.
• Minutes from Dec 01, 2016 were approved.
• The committee discussed with Allen the proposed revision of ECE 403.
  • Allen became course director approximately a decade ago and the course has slowly evolved away from the current course description, necessitating the proposed changes. One primary change is the development of lab exercises, representing about 30% of the course. These lab exercises focus on building electronics which, prior to the inclusion of the labs, were just topics discussed in lectures.
  • Kudeki asked if this course should be a lab course. Allen replied that it could be, with some further revision on the lab content.
• Allen will work with Makela to rework the course revision to allow the course to be considered for inclusion on the ECE lab list.
• The committee discussed BIOE 298 as a possible technical elective, and concluded that the course did not contain sufficient technical content to be considered as a technical elective.
• The meeting was adjourned at 2:24pm.
