New Business

1. Discussion: should MNTL faculty and CC work together with faculty in Physics, in order to develop a new version of Physics 214 (possibly a full-semester course) that will more effectively teach the fundamental concepts necessary as pre-requisites for ECE 340?  STATUS: Erhan will ask Physics Dept. faculty for copies of the current Phys. 213 and 214 slides.  MNTL faculty will review the current course contents in some detail, then discuss the content with Physics faculty in order to propose  a joint recommenadation.
2. Temporary course proposal: Microwave Vacuum Power Electronics.  This course was previously approved in spring 2020 but is not being offered this semester, so we are discussing it now for a spring 2021 first offering.  ECE498AF-MVED_CC&GC.docx.  STATUS: approved: 13 in favor, 0 opposed, 0 abstaining.
