Apply by March 15!

Everyone knows that applied, real-world experience is an integral part of a well-rounded education.  That's why Jump Trading Scholars are guaranteed a paid internship during the summer of 2015.

Candidates for Jump Trading Scholars should be excited, eager, and able to accept the offer to work in Jump's challenging and dynamic environment.  As a Jump Trading intern, you will get hands-on experience in software development, helping to solve core technology problems in areas like system latency, data analysis, risk management, and more.

Juniors receive a scholarship ($15,000) and a full fellowship ($30,000 stipend) for their 4th and 5th years of study, and graduate with a master's degree in computer science through the 5-year BS/MS program.

How to Apply:

Juniors:
1) Apply for the 5 year BS-MS program.  See: http://cs.illinois.edu/current-students/graduate-students/bs-ms-5-year-program
2) Complete a "Jump Trading Scholars Program" statement.  This statement should discuss your goals, interest, and background in computer science as they relate to high frequency trading, as well as your motivation in pursuing an internship.  This should include any past work history, specialized courses taken, significant course projects, and/or research in the areas of algorithms, theory, databases, AI, networking, and/or security.  This statement should be no longer than one page.
3) Inform your letter writers that that their letters may also be reviewed by Jump Trading staff.  Ideally letters should address your qualifications for the Jump Trading Scholars program in addition to your qualifications for the BS-MS program.
