The Bailey Undergraduate awards given each year to undergraduate students at the University of Illinois who have demonstrated positive impact and commitment as a result of service, community involvement, leadership, and action. Financial need and academic achievement will also be considered. University of Illinois – Urbana campus undergraduate students in all programs are eligible to apply.$3000 awards ($1500/semester)

Beckman Undergraduate Fellows Program

Application opens Spring 2021

This program allows up to five promising undergraduates to pursue research at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology during the summer.A $3,000 disbursement will be made to each successful applicant’s University account at the end of the spring semester. The purpose of the $3,000 award is to pay for housing and/or other living expenses so that the selected students can remain on campus during the summer to conduct research in Beckman Institute laboratories.

For high-achieving freshmen and sophomore students studying in a field relevant to Cargill's world of food, agriculture, science, sustainability, and business.

2-year scholarship and enrichment program, as well as travel to two leadership seminars at Cargill HQ.

  • The applicant may be a college-level student providing certified proof of enrollment in a four-year accredited university or;

  • The applicant may be a high school senior providing certified proof of enrollment at a four-year accredited university.

  • The applicant must provide transcripts proving a cumulative minimum of 3.0 unweighted GPA.

  • The applicant must maintain full-time enrollment of 12 credit hours or more per term.

Students must be current Illinois undergraduate students and be in good academic standing.

Applicants must have faculty support or mentoring for the duration of their proposed research.
Funding is provided for students pursuing their own research projects or working on a faculty-led project.
