Email ise-grad@illinois.edu to formally request this stand-alone tuition waiver by the first day of courses in your last term. To be eligible for the college-issued stand-alone tuition waiver, you must be:
  • in Good Academic Standing
  • do not holding a hold a tuition-waiver generating appointment (e.g., as a result of the 5-year PhD funding guarantee, etc.)
  • and meet the required minimum credit hours by registering only for thesis research.

MS Non-Thesis Students
May sign up for only the courses needed for graduation. International students in this situation must seek approval in this case through ISSS; Domestic students do not.

MS Online Students (thesis or non-thesis)
