3. Steve Franke presented an overview and update on the proposed Master of Engingeering (ME) program and BS/ME program. The proposal is now at the College level, and must proceed through the Graduate College and Educational Policy committees, among other things. The estimated start date for the program is Fall 2015. The curriculum committee may be asked to discuss the phase-in timeline when the start date has firmed up. In response to a question posed by Steve, there was a consensus on the curriculum committee that it would be good better to give students in the BS/ME program the option to keep their same academic advisor throughout the BS/ME program, rather than automatically swathing switching advisors during the ME phase.
