The committee has been asked to re-word these proposals, before they are voted on by the department, in order to (1) make it clear exactly what wording changes will be proposed on what pages, and (2) remove Phys 213/214 from any list of courses specifically recommended for postponement to 5th semester. These goals seem to coincide; here . Here is a proposed amended text of the motion to set before the department.

Proposed addition to the ECE list of Technical Electives: CHEM 102/103 General Chemistry (counts as a Technical Elective only for Computer Engineering students), ATMS 201 General Physical Meteorology, CPSP 265 Genetic Engineering Lab, PSYC 204 Intro to Brain and Cognition.
Proposed change to the wording of the 2.25 rule: After the sentence "Students with 2.25 or higher JGPA are allowed to start taking 300 level ECE classes and Technical Electives in the same semester they are completing the full set of technical core courses required for Junior Eligibility." we will add the sentence "Many students will find it useful to complete one of the 200-level Junior Eligibility Courses in their 5th semester at the University of Illinois."
