ORAU Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) Funding

ORAU is again privileged to provide funding to support graduate students to attend the annual Heidelberg Laureate Forum in Heidelberg, Germany. They have sponsored students for this historic event for a number of years, and are currently soliciting graduate student nominations in the fields of mathematics and computer science to attend the 6th Heidelberg Laureate Meeting to be held September 23-28, 2018.

Graduate student applicants must:

  1. Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student at an ORAU member institution;
  2. Have completed by June 2018 at least two academic years of study toward a doctoral degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline; and
  3. Be actively participating in a research project.

Complete nomination packets will be submitted by the department after an internal competition.



 Submission Details (by 12/6/17, 11:59P)

Required Materials:

  1. Application
  2. CV
  3. Statement: one-page by the student on why participation in the meeting is important for the student's graduate education
  4. Letter: strong letter of reference by the student's research advisor with the included questionnaire (final page in the application file)

Materials should be submitted by 11:59PM on 12/6/2017 to Samantha Hendon (2237 SC).

Note: Electronic documents are preferred and should be submitted as PDFs, Word documents, or plain-text files. Students, please include your netid in your file names (e.g. netid_cv.pdf).
