This year's Tapia Conference is Sep. 18-21 in San Diego, California.

Department Grant + Registration	Three (3) available	$1,000 in travel grants to cover hotel, registration, food, and/or transportation costs. Recipients will receive a 15% discount on the registration Funding will be disbursed in the form of a reimbursement after the conference. Recipients will need to make many purchases before the conference, save receipts, and complete reimbursement paperwork after the conference within 30 days from the conference end date. Recipients: Must be enrolled as a MS or PhD student in Fall 2019 Preference for students from underrepresented demographics in computer science Are expected to help represent and promote the department at the conference, spending at least two hours per day at the department's booth.

The Tapia conference has always been a premier venue to acknowledge, to promote and to celebrate diversity in computing. The goal of the Tapia Conferences is to bring together undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, researchers, and professionals in computing from all backgrounds and ethnicities to:

Celebrate the diversity that exists in computing;
Connect with others with common backgrounds, ethnicities, disabilities, and gender so as to create communities that extend beyond the conference;
Obtain advice from and make contacts with computing leaders in academia and industry;
Be inspired by great presentations and conversations with leaders with common backgrounds.
