Illinois Computer Science students are changing the world through their contributions to the computing industry and to research.   1. Internal awards that require Department selection/nomination: many awards do not allow students to apply directly–they must be nominated by a department, college, or institution; in addition the Department administers many of its own awards.
  2. External award opportunities: these require no Department action, and students may apply to these awards directly.
