Yunni & Maxine Pao Memorial Fellowship | The Grainger College of Engineering Office of Graduate, Professional and Online Programs will award up to five six $5,000 fellowships, to be paid on a monthly basis over 9 months. Students will be evaluated on their research accomplishments, as well as outreach and leadership activities. Eligibility Must be enrolled in the CS or ECE department.- Preference will be given to high-achieving students from the United States or Hong Kong who have at least one parent from China.
- Preference will be given to MS with thesis or PhD students.
- Nominees must hold at least a 3.75 or higher overall GPA in their graduate program.
- Be Nominees must be registered as full-time students for the entire academic-year in which the fellowship is awarded (fall and spring term).

- Research Statement (1 page max) - summarize your research thus far in your career
- Personal Statement (1 page max) - discuss your outreach and leadership experience
Note: Students, submit ONE PDF named "Last Name, First Name - Pao Fellowship S22." (example: Gorrie, Hannah - Pao Fellowship S22). Letters can go from recommendors to Hannah at hpgorrie@illinois.edu. Materials should be submitted by _________to Hannah Gorrie. The department will provide a letter of support on the behalf of the selected student(s)- Nominees will be evaluated on their research accomplishments, as well as outreach and leadership activities.
