Juniors receive a scholarship ($15,000) and a full fellowship ($30,000 stipend) for their 4th and 5th years of study, and graduate with a master's degree in computer science through the 5-year BS/MS program.

Sophomores receive a scholarship for their 3rd and 4th years of study ($15,000/year).

How to Apply:

Juniors:
1) Apply for the 5 year BS-MS program.  See: http://cs.illinois.edu/current-students/graduate-students/bs-ms-5-year-program
2) Complete a "Jump Trading Scholars Program" statement.  This statement should discuss your goals, interest, and background in computer science as they relate to high frequency trading, as well as your motivation in pursuing an internship.  This should include any past work history, specialized courses taken, significant course projects, and/or research in the areas of algorithms, theory, databases, AI, networking, and/or security.  This statement should be no longer than one page.
3) Inform your letter writers that that their letters may also be reviewed by Jump Trading staff.  Ideally letters should address your qualifications for the Jump Trading Scholars program in addition to your qualifications for the BS-MS program.Sophomores:
1) Applicants must be CS majors who have a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0.
3) Submit all materials to Colin Robertson, colinr@illinois.edu, room 2233 Siebel Center.  Letters of recommendation should be submitted by the letter writer.
4) Submit an up-to-date CV/resume.

7) Submit two letters of recommendation addressing your qualifications for the Jump Trading Scholars Program.
