Must attend an eligible university, including Illinois.

Must be nominated by their departmentMust have completed their graduate coursework in the PhD program and be embarking on or continuing their graduate research in the fall of 2018

NOTE: Eligibility changed as of 10/10/18. Applicants must be in at least their 3rd year of a PhD program by the fall semester or quarter of the year when the fellowship begins.

Students who are already receiving another fellowship are not eligible
