Eligible applicants for the award will include graduating high school seniors residing and attending school in the US.

Challenges for the award will focus on developing an artifact that engages modern computing technology and computer science. Judges will look for submissions that demonstrate ingenuity, complexity, relevancy, originality, and a desire to further computer science as a discipline.

AWM & Math for AmericaAssociation for Women in Mathematics

Students Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12, College UndergraduatesThe winners (including honorable mentions) receive a monetary prize, a membership in the Association of Women in Mathematics, a certificate, and their name and affiliation published in the Newsletter for the AWM. In addition, all of the essays are published online and the Grand Prize winner‘s essay is published in the newsletter.
